Class Reunions in 2010

THE CLASS OF 1940 in celebration of its 70th anniversary, were among the honoured guests at the MAA Convocation Banquet in the Great Hall, Hart House, on Tues., June 1, 2010. Classmates were also invited to the Pre-Convocation Ceremony, Wed., June 2, in Convocation Hall, followed by the Dean’s Luncheon in the Medical Sciences Building.

THE CLASS OF 1945 in celebration of its 65th anniversary, were among the honoured guests at the MAA Convocation Banquet in the Great Hall, Hart House, on Tues., June 1, 2010. Classmates were also invited to the Pre-Convocation Ceremony on Wed., June 2, in Convocation Hall, followed by the Dean’s Luncheon in the Medical Sciences Building. The class also had a private reception and dinner at the Faculty Club on Wed., June 2, 2010, 6:00 pm for 7:00 pm.

THE CLASS OF 1946 held its 64th reunion luncheon on Sat., May 29, 2010, at the Granite Club at 12:30 p.m. Contact: Dr. Bette Stephenson at 60 Forest Ridge Rd., Richmond Hill, ONL4E 3L8.

THE CLASS OF 1947 held a 63rd anniversary luncheon on Fri., June 11, 2010, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Amica Mature Lifestyles condo, near Sheppard and Bayview in North York.

THE CLASS OF 1948 held a 62nd reunion on June 16-17, 2010.  Activities included: a reception at the Park Hyatt Hotel from noon to 4:00 p.m. on June 16; bus service at 9:00 a.m. on the 17th,  a tour of the McMichael Gallery in Kleinburg; and a noon reception and 1:00 p.m. lunch at the Caledon Mountain Trout Club in Caledon Hills.

THE CLASS OF 1950 in celebration of its 60th anniversary, were among the honored guests at the MAA Convocation Banquet on Tues., June 1, 2010. Classmates were also invited to the Pre-Convocation Ceremony on Wed., morning, June 2, in Convocation Hall, followed by the Dean’s Luncheon in the Medical Sciences Building. The class also enjoyed a reception and dinner on the evening of June 2nd, 2010, at the Faculty Club from 6:30 p.m.

THE CLASS OF 1955 held its 55th reunion on Monday, May 31st, 2010, with a cocktail party and dinner at McLean House, The Estates of Sunnybrook from 6:30 p.m.  The class were invited to University of Toronto Spring Reunion Events from May 27th to 30th.  Classmates were also invited to the Meds Pre-Convocation Ceremony in Convocation Hall and the Dean’s Luncheon, both on June 2, 2010.  

THE CLASS OF 1960 in celebration of its 50th anniversary, were among the honoured guests at the MAA Convocation Banquet on Tues., June 1, 2010. Classmates were also invited to the Pre-Convocation Ceremony on Wed. a.m., June 2, in Convocation Hall, followed by the Dean’s Luncheon in the Medical Sciences Building. The class held a scientific session on Mon., May 31, 2010, 9:00 a.m. until noon, in the MedicalSciencesBuilding; and also enjoyed a reception and class dinner Mon. evening, at MasseyCollege, from 6:00 p.m.

THE CLASS OF 1970 held its 40th reunion the weekend of May 28 - 29, 2010. Activities included: an informal get together on Friday evening in the Portman Room at the Hotel Intercontinental, 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., and a CME, followed by a reception and dinner on Sat. from 3:00 p.m. at the Island Yacht Club.

THE CLASS OF 1975 held its 35th reunion on Sat., June 12, 2010, with a dinner at the Park Hyatt Yorkville, from 6:30 p.m.

THE CLASS OF 1980 held its 30th reunion the weekend of June 4-5, 2010.  Activities included a reception on Fri., June 4, at 6:30 p.m., with cocktails and munchies at Madison House, 14 Madison Ave.; and a dinner on Sat., June 5, at 6:30 p.m. at the Steamwhistle Roundhouse, 255 Bremner Blvd., base of CN Tower.

THE CLASS OF 1985 held its 25th reunion Aug. 6-8, 2010 at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre.  Activities will include: a get acquainted reception from 6-11pm on Friday evening; a Sat. 8:00 a.m. breakfast and continuing education event, 9:00 a.m. until noon; a Saturday evening reception and dinner from 6-11 p.m.; and an informal brunch from 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

THE CLASS OF 1995 held its 15th reunion the weekend of  June 12-13, 2010, at the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel and in High Park.  Activities included: a 6:00 p.m. reception and 7:00 p.m. dinner on Saturday evening at the Marriott; and a family picnic in High Park on Sun., noon until 4:00 pm.

THE CLASS OF 2000 enjoyed their 10th meds reunion on Saturday, November 13, 2010.  Activities included a CME in the Medical Sciences Building in the afternoon; and, a dinner in the Distillery District in the evening.  The reunion went well.
